This Pyle is no Gomer

Wow, ya gotta check this out. The Pyle CD/MP3/Bluetooth/USB/SD player: PLCD70MUBT
It is packed with features:

  • Motorized Slide Down Detachable Face
  • CD-R/ CD-RW for MP3 Playback
  • ID3 TAG Information Display of MP3 File Name
  • 30 Station Memory: 18FM/12AM
  • 1 Bit D/A Converter. 8X Oversampling
  • 3 Beam Laser Tracking
  • RCA Preamp Output
  • USB Input for MP3
  • 200 Watts Maximum Total Output
  • BlueTooth Wireless Technology for Mobile Phone Handsfree Operation
The layout on this unit is really nice. It has a standard rotary knob for volume (love the old style), Bass/Treble control, Balance/Fader control and preset equalizer modes: Rock, Pop, Classical, Flat, Custom.

The USB and SD inputs are awesome. There's nothing like removing commercials from your daily commute and listening to your own playlists. Couple that with Sirius and you'll never have to hear a shouting car sale ad again!

The best feature is the Bluetooth. I've tested it and it's very reliable. The only issue I've noticed is that my phone and the stereo don't pair up immediately. It is what it is, though. Since the stereo unit is not powered on all the time it takes a minute to sync up. On a side note, make sure you turn off your bluetooth headset while in the car. If its on, the radio will not automatically pick up on your phone.

Its totally awesome to be listening to your favorite song and have the speakers in your car start ringing when you get a call. When that happens, simply press the "Talk" button on the Stereo unit and "Voila!", you're on the phone. When you end the call, your music fires up where you left off. Sweet!

Ciao for now...........

P.S. RixRadio is still under construction........

Our Weekend...

...was a bit of a blur. We ate some great steak off the grill on friday nite. Saturday I was in Newnan before 8am. Worked until mid afternoon. The Girls got to go to Mikayla's house and go swimming, and I took a nap. I went to Nicks house to watch the Bristol race which was pretty good since they resurfaced the track.

Sunday we made some breakfast and then I got Paige's new PC setup. She's so excited. I got a used IBM PC and set it up for her. Spent some time in the attic, but got it up and running.

If you haven't heard about it the Magic Jack is new and hot technology. A USB adapter that you can plug any regular phone into!!! Not all area codes are available, but are on the way.

Catch ya later!
