Stupid iPod/iTunes

So, I bust my butt to set a new personal best. On my treadmill, I beat friday's 1 mile time by 1 second: 10min 41sec. My iPod Nike+ tells me I've beat my record. So I'm all proud and stuff and hook up my iPod to send the results to Nike+...

Well, iTunes takes a crap, my iPod locks up and I have to start over. "No big deal", I think.

Whoa, Nellie! My entire workout for today is lost!!!!! Nuthin, nada, zilch. Piece of junk. I can do better using my WINDOWS MOBILE phone and manually put the data into an EXCEL MOBILE SPREADSHEET like I used to.

BAD WORD iPOD, BAD WORD iTUNES, BAD WORD BAD WORD!!! (for those that don't get it, it would look something like this: @!#$%#! iPod, @#$!%^ iTunes, $#@^%$!@#!!)

So, here are my totals (in an effort to satisfy my pride):

Total Time: 16:07
Total Dist: 1.37mi, 2.2+km
Total Cals: 200+

Gun Facts

So, I'm reading this document on gun facts...It is very interesting. Well, I come across one of the facts. It states:

"Fact: According to the Supreme Court, criminals do not have to obtain licenses or register their
weapons, as that would be an act of self-incrimination."

Huh? Read it again. And again, if necessary. Do you understand that statement?

Now, the registration part is only required in Boston, Hawaii, Chicago, and DC. May be other places I don't know.

At any rate, the statement seems illogical.

Just for reference on the fact above: Haynes vs. U.S. 390 U.S. 85 1968

Guns from US to Mexico

I watched Greta last night and she had an interview with Madam Secretary Hillary Clinton discussing the guns that the Mexican cartel were using had come from "straw purchasers" in the United States.

Well, that begged the question "Where can I find out the data on the serial numbers on the guns and where they came from?" Seems simple, right? I mean, every firearm I have purchased has a serial number and it is recorded in the paperwork I filled out.

Now, through the power of Google, I searched "Mexican guns serial number". The article I read from therealgunguys.com, Yuri Orlov, indicates that the "Mexican government doesn’t provide the serial number information from guns seized in cartel actions in Mexico to determine their point of origin". Hmmm.

So then, how can BATF claim that 90% of the guns used come from the US?

Next point: the firearms in use are noted to be "full auto" weapons. Well.....that begs the question "Which FFL dealers are selling full auto weapons to the general public? I regularly visit my local gun shops and didnt know that I could purchase a full auto weapon.

Which leads me to my conclusion: I CALL B.S.

Our elected officials as well as the main stream media are blowing smoke in an effort to get the ignorant masses to believe a lie (and I say, lie, because the information provided is either incorrect, or can't be verified).

Make your own conclusions. And, if you haven't done it already, get your own firearm, get training, and get your CCW. Or, you could just dial 911 - because when seconds count, help is just minutes away.

Cost of healthcare...

Just in case you're wondering, I just heard that doctors pay upwards of $65,000 for liability insurance. Apparently it can go as high as a quarter million. "Hmmmm"...
