Here's the group dance I saw last nite

Yet another company to boycott: Papa Johns Pizza

Just read this from GeorgiaCarry.org (yes, I am a member.)

Armed robber decides to rob pizza deliveryman, and takes a bullet. Wrong delivery driver! Unfortunately, the pizza chain is Papa Johns, and they have a "we would prefer our drivers die" policy that forbids guns. "Papa Johns has a policy that says no workers can carry concealed weapons, either on them or in their car." The delivery driver is currently suspended while Papa Johns decides whether to take his job. GCO's President, Ed Stone, said "I have purchased pizzas at Papa John's, but I will never purchase another one if there is any adverse employment action against Mr. Lewis." If you want to support Tavarius Lewis, you may contact Papa John's here http://www.papajohns.com/feedback/index.shtm

The good news? I don't patronize this establishment, so it won't matter.

The bad news? Mr. Tavarius Lewis is being punished for PROTECTING HIMSELF. What a load of dog squeeze.

Is Taco Mac reaping what it sows?

Click the link to read the story in the AJC.

I've mentioned this before, about Taco Mac. At the Mall of GA location, they have a sign near the entrance that says "No Concealed Weapons". I wonder why you would advertise that? If I were a criminal on the hunt, these places that prohibit concealed weapons would be my first choice. Why? Well, duh! Why do you think I wont eat there anymore? (At least until they change the policy.)

On a side note, the writer of the report, Katie Leslie, states that the manager at the store ran to his car to get his "licensed" firearm. Firearms are not licensed in the state of GA. People are licensed to carry a concealed weapon. But, it seems to be par-for-the-course for "journalists" to just write (or speak) whatever makes them look "good". So much for truth and accuracy. I guess in our modern times truth and accuracy are optional.

Another thing: the article states that the manager fired shots at the offending gunman. What's up with that? Was there a confrontation? How come the thief isn't DRT or Tango Uniform? And, what did APD have to say about discharging his firearm?

I'm thankful everyone at Taco Mac is OK, but I believe that the manager would have been in a much better position if he had been able to draw on the offending JackAss in the store instead of having to run to his car first.

Please, Taco Mac, change your policy. Your management and staff will be safer, and we that are licensed to carry concealed weapons (and choose to do so) will come back to your restaurant.

I would LOVE to have some Death Sauce right now!!!!

US DHS Extremism Report

For those that care and are trying to make your voice heard during the "Tea Party" gatherings across our great nation, take a few minutes to read the report by DHS.

On the last page is the following section:

DHS encourages recipients of this document to report information concerning suspicious or criminal activity to DHS and the FBI. The DHS National Operations Center (NOC) can be reached by telephone at 202-282-9685 or by e-mail at NOC.Fusion@dhs.gov. For information affecting the private sector and critical infrastructure, contact the National Infrastructure Coordinating Center (NICC), a sub-element of the NOC. The NICC can be reached by telephone at 202-282-9201 or by e-mail at NICC@dhs.gov. The FBI regional phone numbers can be found online at http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm. When available, each report submitted should include the date, time, location, type of activity, number of people and type of equipment used for the activity, the name of the submitting company or organization, and a designated point of contact.

Now, I'm wondering what would happen if someone called NICC to report a number of our politicians that are making decisions that could result in our Nation slipping into socialism.

I shoulda gone to law school.

From the Washington Times...

The FBI was quoted Monday as saying that, since November (I assume in 2008), more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons.

Update: Traveller held up at Hartsfield Lying?

Things that make ya go HMMMMMMMM. If the "victim" (term very loosely used) did fabricate the story, can he be prosecuted? Or, if he lied, can we install a whipping post and have him publicly flogged? I bet it wouldn't happen again.

One point for me!

Followup to my post about guns in Mexico coming from the US:

Read the post, I called BS. Now, it seems I was correct. The numbers didn't jive. Now we have some numbers...click the link to judge for yourself.

Fox News Report Followup

Hey, Greta, want to have that ATF spokesman back "On the Record" to explain the new numbers?

Help me understand

I just read an article in the AJC about a traveller that was held up at gunpoint at Hartsfield Airport. Being a member of GeorgiaCarry.org, I know full well that according to Ben Decosta, guns are not allowed at the airport. (You can do a search and find that he was adamant about the common areas at Hartsfield being a gun-free zone, and threatened to arrest even law-abiding CCW holders)

Well, here's a story for ya: http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/atlanta/stories/2009/04/02/airport_rob_gun.html

So.......here's the point: when you restrict the good guys (or gals) from carrying concealed weapons only the perpitrators will have them. Why? Because the perps do not follow the law!

Oh, and for those that haven't heard, Taco Mac (Mall of GA) has a sign as you enter that prohibits concealed weapons. That really sucks! I enjoy that restaurant, but won't be back until the policy is changed. Love the "Death Sauce". Change the policy and I'll be back.
