At 70mph, if his load comes off,

How far do you think it will bounce down the interstate before it stops? HMMM...

My Dell Inspiron 5150

I've had it 3 years. It broke down last spring.

I called Dell because I got a letter stating that my warranty would run out in 30 days.

We went over the basics via online chat and as it turns out, they were going to fix the motherboard.

They sent me a box via DHL and I packed it up and sent it to them. I sent it on Monday the 3rd.

I received it back today, the 7th.

How about that? A 4 year old laptop under warranty, fixed and returned in less than 5 days.

Good job, Dell. Thanks for the great service!

Ciao.

So we've been...

...telling Paige the importance of telling the truth. Its important to tell things honestly. Well, she's been better lately.

Today, she didn't get a blue star, because she lied to the teacher.

Here's the story: apparently, Paige was snacking with her friend Elizabeth, who didn't bring a snack to school. The reason Elizabeth didn't have a snack is unclear.

At any rate, Paige shared her snacks with Ms. Elizabeth. Apparently, this is taboo.

What?! You can't share your snacks at school? Are you kidding me?

Gone are the days when you could barter for grub in the cafeteria? You gotta be joking me. Bottom line, you can't share your snacks at Freeman's Mill Elementary. I was told the reason.......by my 5 year old.

You can't share because somebody might be allergic to what you're eating.

OK. point taken. I have never heard of anyone being allergic to Cheez-Its. But, wait! Cheeze is a DAIRY product. Can anyone tell me how much lactose is in a Cheez-It?

Maybe, its the peanut butter. In all my years of school, I never heard of anyone being allergic to peanuts. Never. Bee stings, but not peanut butter.

So, back to the predicament. Paige wants to share with her friend that has no snack. So she does. Against the rules. (Are we teaching our kids that its OK to share only under certain circumstances?) Paige gets caught sharing her snack. (Does that sound really contrary? caught sharing her snack...sounds like she's feeding animals at the zoo, illegally).

After she gets caught sharing her snack with Elizabeth, she denies doing so. Bad move at the age of 5. Later, she admitted to sharing her snacks, but only after not telling the truth.

Tell me, is this Catch-22? Is it not courteous to share your snacks? But in Kindergarten, you're not allowed. How's a 5 year old supposed to figure that out?

This is what Paige learned today (IMHO): Its OK to share with people as long as its not food at school because the person you're sharing with may be a liability. Hmmm...does that logic apply in other places? Well, since everyone made such a big deal out of the School thing, it must be true.

WHAT? You better believe we talked about the whole matter.

With each passing day, I realize just what a huge cluster-fornication we're in. I used to think that people were just crazy. Now I know that most of them have been programmed the way they are.

Chilling. Really scary shtuff.

Ciao

I gotta tell ya this...

I have had two Kershaw knives in my life: a Whirlwind, and a Blackout. I "misplaced" the Whirlwind years ago and immediately replaced it with a Blackout. Both of them are designed by cutlery expert, Ken Onion.

As you may (or not) know, both of the knives are assisted opening, using Ken Onion's Speed-Safe technology.

Well, the speed-safe broke on my Blackout a couple months ago. I sent it to them on August 28 (last Tuesday) to be repaired.

I got it back today. But, not the one I had used for years. They totally replaced my knife. BRAND NEW!

So, lemme recap...I sent them my knife hoping for a warranty repair; they send me a replacement (for nothing); all in 9 total days.

Unbelievable! Can you say superior customer service? Huge KUDOS!

Good job Kershaw!!! Thanks for setting the standard!

All the best,

Rick Hall
Lawrenceville. GA

P.s. I forgot to tell ya I bought a Ken Onion (Kershaw) Blur on the 28th, right after I left the post office. Its got the Tanto/serrated blade and is sharp as a razor.

Cheers!

From the "You gotta be kidding me" department...

There was a study in Munich on speed dating and the Scientists (?) concluded that men/males prefer attractive females!!! Wow! The study also concluded that women are more choosy when it comes to a mate. There should be some sort of prize for their efforts. This is breakthrough science. Quite a tragedy for those guys dating ugly chics. Sorry, Ladies, some of you had a chance before this study.

I've got almost...

...a dozen of these things on my tomatoes and peppers. They're eating the plants down to the stems. Mackie has collected 2 of them and will get back to us with her findings . Will keep y'all posted...

Got your resume?

Interesting, to say the least. Hopefully you can read the sign. I think Omie is setting up an interview with these folks........ :)

This is us at the Braves Game!

The seats were a bit nosebleed, but still had a good view. When we got there, our seats were in the sunshine, but after about 20 minutes, we were in the shade. It was incredibly hot, but with a slight breeze and shade, it was very tolerable.

We got to see a great game with a couple of home runs and some stellar pitching from Smoltzie.

It was a really nice day! GO BRAVES!!
