Gene Lyons, reports false information.

I just read an article by a dude named Gene Lyons about gun control. I stopped after reading the following line written by Mr. Lyons:

"Indeed, the killer had broken no laws until he shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords at point-blank range."

Folks, this is the problem with many of the writers in the media. They are often times, completely inaccurate. Loughner broke no laws until he shot Rep. Giffords? What about using marijuana? What about lying/providing false information on the form 4473 that Loughner filled out to obtain the pistol he used?
